Gary Lincoln

Business Advisor

Background

Gary’s career began in an unexpected place, as a pastry chef, before he discovered a true passion for people and transitioned into recruitment more than 25 years ago. He is a Founding Member of TXM Group, where he serves as Group Director, and became a qualified coach in 2019 through the Association of Executive Coaching. His coaching ability is complemented by decades of business and leadership experience, having built and supported multiple teams and organisations throughout his career.

Expertise

Gary specialises in recruitment, business development, leadership, and coaching, with a particular interest in neurodivergent coaching. He believes every meaningful outcome begins with a conversation - one entered with the mindset of what can be given rather than what can be taken. This people- first approach, combined with his business acumen, allows him to bridge the gap between strategy and human connection.

Connection to the Mission

Being part of the Advisory Circle inspires Gary to bring his blend of coaching and business experience into a community dedicated to creating calm, supportive spaces for children and families. For him, ‘finding peace in the little sounds’ means noticing the overlooked sensory moments that can transform overwhelm into calm - a soothing tone, a rhythmic pattern, or a mindful pause. He sees his role as helping HushAway® design experiences that are evidence- based, scalable, and empathetic, empowering children and families to integrate peace and focus into everyday life.

Lived Experience & Insights

Through his coaching work, Gary has seen how even small environmental adjustments can profoundly affect a child’s ability to focus, regulate emotions, and engage in learning. He recognises that peaceful, sensory- friendly spaces not only reduce anxiety but also build confidence and encourage authentic expression. His perspective reinforces that calm is not just the absence of noise, but the creation of safety, support, and belonging.

Vision & Impact

Gary is energised by the potential of combining sound, science, and storytelling to support neurodiverse children and young people. He believes sound fosters calm and connection, science provides evidence and insight, and storytelling gives children their own voice to share strengths and aspirations. Looking ahead, Gary sees the greatest opportunity for change in shifting systems to adapt to children - rather than expecting children to adapt to systems. Advances in neuroscience, inclusive education, and technology mean the future can celebrate difference rather than suppress it.

Fun Fact

Gary has climbed both the Eiger and Mont Blanc, cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End (not all at once!), and once trained as a pastry chef.
