A soft level naturally encourages calm and stillness, while sound that is too loud can keep the nervous system alert. A small speaker placed across the room usually works better and more comfortably than headphones for sleeping.

Can the same track be used every night?

Yes, and for children with ADHD this is often the most helpful approach. Playing the same track, story or soundscape night after night builds a strong association between that sound and the feeling of settling. Over time the audio becomes a familiar sleep cue, and your child’s nervous system softens because it already knows what comes next. If something works, keep using it.
