You already know the moments

The ones where nothing in the behaviour policy helps, because the child is not being difficult. Their system has simply run out of room.

Why schools and nurseries choose HushAway®

Why schools and nurseries choose HushAway®

Not a programme to deliver, a calm you can reach for. Here is what makes the difference.

One library for the whole setting

Every room draws on the same Sound Sanctuary, sorted by the needs of the school day, with a classroom selection already chosen for you.

Low demand, by design

Nothing to perform and nothing to get right. Children listen, and the pressure in the room comes down.

A named Sound Lead

One person holds it in your setting, with gentle training and steady support from us through the term.

Built for neurodivergent children

Built from the ground up for neurodivergent children, not neurotypical content relabelled.

Who it helps

Built for neurodivergent children, not relabelled for them

Built for neurodivergent children, not relabelled for them

Most calming content asks a child to sit still, close their eyes, follow along and imagine a beach. A dysregulated autistic or ADHD child can do none of that in that moment, and being asked makes it worse.

HushAway® was written from the start for children aged four to ten who feel everything big. Ages beyond that use it too, and so do plenty of the adults in the room.

Sensory profiles differ. Seekers and avoiders need different things, and headphones are not always the answer. The training covers how to tell which is which.

Will not, and cannot, are different children

Only one of them needs a consequence.

Why calm down makes it worse

All three of the usual phrases are demands.

What is actually in the sound

Narration, Solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats, ASMR texture.

Safe listening, and consent

Volume, duration and choice, never a special measure for one child.

The five sound moments

Pick the hardest one. Start there.

Pick the hardest one. Start there.

One moment, one track, same time every day. Predictability is the active ingredient, so resist swapping it around.

01

Arrival and separation

Sound already playing before the first coat goes on a peg.

02

Coming in from break

Bodies still at playground volume, given three minutes to come down.

03

Into focused work

Background sound for reading and writing that holds attention without competing for it.

04

The wobble

One child, past listening. A quiet corner, and no instructions at all.

05

Home time handover

A calmer exit, and something parents can carry on at home.

Backed by research, careful with claims

Backed by research, careful with claims

Everything here is evidence informed and honestly framed. HushAway® is a sound therapy informed regulation tool, not a clinical intervention, a treatment or a cure.

Studied at a university

Research with neurodivergent children alongside Dr Gemma Goldenberg at the University of East London.

Shaped by a Circle of Experts

Doctors, psychologists, SEN educators, sound designers and parents, plus the children who test every track.

Children stay anonymous

Always, unless your setting gives specific written permission. Consent is a separate, explicit opt in.

What families already notice

The same shifts, at home and in the room

The same shifts, at home and in the room

These are from parents using HushAway® at home. The moments they describe, transitions, focus before homework, coming down after a busy day, are the same ones your staff are managing thirty times a week.

‘Bedtime used to take over an hour. Now she asks for Blueberry Moon straight after dinner. No more battles!’

Sarah, mum to Isla (6)

‘Transitioning from evening activities to bedtime was a challenge. We now listen to HushAway® Eddie and The Secret of Pebble Creek and evenings are a little easier’

Louise, mum to Eddie (9)

‘Alfie would get out of bed in the morning but wouldn’t come downstairs, so we started incorporating some of the PeaceTime affirmations into his routine, now MOST days he joins us for breakfast! It’s work in progress’

Morgan, dad to Alfie (5)

‘Coming home from school and trying to get him to focus on homework before dinner has always been a struggle. We now know he loves the ASMR soundscapes so we play them in the background and they seem to calm him down for an hour so he can at least concentrate, which honestly is brilliant.’

Gaynor, mum to Charlie (9)

A gentle Christmas gift. HushAway® Sleepy Stories for Christmas: three bedtime stories for children who feel everything big, to download and keep. A lovely gift for a family in your class, or for the staffroom.
