The programme
Sanctuary in Schools is the whole HushAway® world, built for the classroom. One audio library for your whole setting, sorted by the needs of the school day, with a named lead, training for your team and evidence you can keep. It is the schools side of HushAway®, the same library families use at home.

One membership for the whole setting: the sound library for the children, training for your educators, and everything the grown-ups need to run it.
Sanctuary in Schools
The audio library you play to the children, sorted by six needs: Settling In & Transitions, Big Feelings & Meltdowns, Worries & Anxiety, Focus & Learning, Friendships & Belonging, and Getting Ready to Go Home. Stories, affirmations and soundscapes for each.

Peace for Pupils
Our CPD accredited training: the Sounds Before Words webinar (one CPD hour) and four weeks in the educator's own classroom (one CPD hour), under ten minutes a day.

The Staffroom and School Toolkit
For the grown-ups: conversations with our Circle of Experts and plain-language explainers. Plus everything to run it: Sound Lead checkpoint sheets, the wall chart, parent leaflet, PSHE mapping sheet and compliance pack.

A sound library, educator training and classroom evidence, together in one membership. Evidence matters because it shows what is really changing for your children, gives your team a shared picture of what works, and supports your conversations with parents, governors and inspectors about inclusion and wellbeing.
Made for every busy little mind
Up to half of all children struggle with sleep at some point, rising to 80% for children with SEND (The Sleep Charity). One in five 8 to 16 year olds has a probable mental health condition (NHS England, 2023), and in England almost 138,000 children are waiting for an autism assessment and up to 316,000 for an ADHD assessment (Health and Social Care Committee, 2025). HushAway® is built from the ground up for neurodivergent children, not neurotypical content relabelled, so every child in the room benefits, diagnosed or not.
Low-demand and instruction-free
Co-regulation through sound, with nothing to learn, nothing to prepare and nothing asked of the child. For children with a PDA profile, even a gentle "calm down" can feel like a demand and push them further from calm. Sound needs no instructions, so it still works when a child is already overwhelmed.
Frequency-based
Solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats and ASMR-informed soundscapes, alongside stories and affirmations chosen for the school day. In a study led by HushAway® consultant Dr Giulia Poerio, adults who experience ASMR saw their heart rate fall by an average of 3.14 beats per minute while listening (University of Sheffield, 2018).
Backed by experts, partners and families
Our Circle of Experts and HushAway® consultants, research with the University of East London, our partners The Sleep Charity and youHQ, and SoundSonic® Ambassador families around the world who test our sounds with their own children.
AT A GLANCE
One membership for the whole setting, for twelve months.
Built from the ground up for neurodivergent children, not neurotypical content relabelled.
Low-demand and instruction-free: nothing to learn, nothing to prepare and nothing asked of the child.
Frequency-based: Solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats and ASMR-informed soundscapes.
The same sounds at the same moments of the day, so every transition has a sound the children already know.
Every class can use it in the first week, with no training.
A log-in for every educator. The accounts move with the staff, not the other way round.
The option of your own case study, if you would like one: evidence a SENCO can use in an Individual Support Plan and a head can file against wellbeing and inclusion.
1-2-1 or group online coaching for your team, available as an additional option.
Supports statutory Health Education (mental wellbeing and sleep), with a PSHE mapping sheet and compliance pack.
Your School Code: families try Hush at Home for a month at no cost, then join at the school price, with £10 to your PTA for every annual membership.
Backed by the Circle of Experts, research with the University of East London, and our partners The Sleep Charity and youHQ.
The six needs
Inside, everything is sorted into the moments that matter, so a member of staff can go from a need to the right sound in a few taps, without needing to know whether it is an ASMR soundscape or a Solfeggio frequency.

HushAway® is about sound, for SEND. It is never sold as generic SEND CPD, and it is designed to sit alongside the Government’s free SEND training, adding the sound and wellbeing layer that sits outside it.
Getting started
Sanctuary in Schools is built to start small and stick. No launch assembly, no new scheme to roll out. One named lead, one moment, one sound, and a habit that grows from there.
Week 1
Your Sound Lead and welcome pack
A named lead in your setting gets everything they need to run it.
Week 2
Choose one moment
Pick the hardest point in your day and press play at the same time, every day.
From April
Peace for Pupils
Your team completes the short training and builds the sound habit across four gentle weeks.
Optional
Your own case study
If you would like one, we can help you capture what changed, anonymised and with consent, at a pace that suits your setting.
Membership opens January 2027, with the School Toolkit and Peace for Pupils in April. Register your interest to be the first to know.
